About this Denia Art Workshop
This 3-hour workshop teaches how to make a sea mandala from the inspiration of the Mediterranean Sea and the beautiful area of Denia. Together, I will help you create art with its found treasures, from sea shells and sea glass to broken ceramic pieces washed up on shore. The workshop is for adults, 18 years and older.
You can expect to learn:
- Composition and design using found objects
- How to assemble the composition to last
- Where to find inspiration
The final goal for this workshop is to have a finished sea ring that you can keep with you as your own piece of art inspired by the Mediterranean Sea here in Denia. And most importantly, to meet and experiment with fellow students, and learn and have fun creating.
We’re excited for this second workshop and are grateful to Con Alma Denia for sharing their space with us to make this event possible. During the workshop, you’ll be able to order drinks and food as well.
Paid registration is required to attend and space is limited. To register for the workshop, please use the form below to reserve your space.
SUPPLIES: We encourage everyone to bring their own shells, sea glass, and other treasures you find on the beach. We will provide some shells and sea glass along with the following.
- Some shells and sea glass (we still encourage you to try and bring some of your own, if possible.)
- Glue and glue applicators
- Shop towels
- Artwork base
- Wood foundation
- Varnish for final piece
DONATIONS: We are asking for donations of sea shells and sea glass. If you are interested in making any such donations, please email us at info@movetotraveling.com.

About the Instructor, Eric J. Trujillo
I am Eric J. Trujillo, an artist from the US living here in Denia, Spain. I have been drawing and making art my entire life. The most exhilarating thing about being an artist is sharing it with people. And another way I share my art is teaching others how it is made. This class will teach you some of my methods.
I enjoy the creative process and it’s fun making things. Art can remind you of your humanity. When you creatively self-express yourself it’s a liberating experience. Creating art can help us to see things in the world in many new and different ways. Being creative can encourage us in how we can live harmoniously with each other, enjoy ourselves, and stay connected.
My favorite quote is “Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.” – Picasso.
You can visit StudioTrujillo.com to learn more about my art and career in design.

Hi. I’ve booked onto the sea art workshop on Friday 28th October but with the booking confirmation message I also got a message saying there was a problem sending me the confirmation email. I’m wondering if I mis-typed my email address.
Hi Jacquie! Thanks so much for registering. Sorry that there seems to have been an issue with your confirmation email being sent. It looks like your email was correct. Either way, I’ve confirmed that you registered correctly and are on our list. So you’re all set.
We really look forward to seeing you there! Please let us know of anything else.
